Most Anticipated Movies Coming Out in 2018

It’s only March, but 2018 already looks like a great year for new movie releases, with Maze Runner, Black Panther, Fifty Shades Freed, Tomb Raider and Annihilation already screening in cinemas. Nevertheless, there is plenty of time left until the end of the year and a plethora of exciting films to look forward to, so we put together a list of the most anticipated movies coming out this year.

Pacific Rim: Uprising is the first on our list as it’s just around the corner, set to be released on March 23rd, 2018. It will star John Boyega as the rebellious Jake Pentecost who is given a second chance to prove his greatness as a Jaeger pilot. Jake will fight the threatening forces of extinction alongside his estranged sister Mako Mori, played by Rinko Kikuchi.

Due for release on the same day as Pacific Rim, March 23rd, A Wrinkle In Time is a highly-anticipated science fantasy adventure movie produced by Disney and starring Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey and Mindy Kaling. It’s based on the 1962 novel of the same name by Madeleine L’Engle and tells the story of a young girl who embarks on a quest in space to find her missing father.

Avengers: Infinity War, out in cinemas on April 27th, is also high on our list, as any other Marvel movie would be. The Avengers and their allies must continue to protect the world as a new threat emerges – the powerful Thanos whose blitz of devastation threatens to end the universe.

A Star Is Born, the upcoming musical directed by Bradley Cooper, is one of the many remakes coming out this year. It stars Cooper himself and Lady Gaga and depicts a young lady’s path in showbiz in her search for fame. It will hit theatres on October 5th, 2018.

As far as biographical dramas go, First Man seems to be the most anticipated new release, offering a true-to-life insight into Neil Armstrong’s life, with special focus on his greatest achievement: the legendary space mission that turned him into the first man to walk on the Moon. It will come out on October 12 and will star Ryan Gosling, Claire Foy, and Corey Stoll.

Another great movie we are looking forward to is Aquaman, which is set to arrive at the end of the year, on December 21st. This will be the only movie released by DC Comics in 2018 and will act as a sequel to Justice League.

And finally, coming after fourteen years of waiting, The Incredibles 2 will be out on July 13. The 2004 original won the hearts of all ’90s children, so the nostalgic ones will be thrilled to learn that the Parr family are back with new adventures.
